Its definitely been very quiet at the office for the last two months, thanks in grand part to social isolation restrictions.
Apart from our virtual classroom that began a couple of weeks ago, an absence of our event, sport and conference videos has meant that Dan has had an interesting time exploring a complete online model to generate business. It has been difficult.
This period, spanning from when smoke covered Canberra over the summer to now, has resulted in perhaps the most challenging time since becoming an independent filmmaker and creator.
All film and web series projects have been delayed or put on hold indefinitely, until there is a time we can re-gather cast and crew. This is probably the biggest disappointment, particularly with a feature film 'Alice' which is likely to see completion dates pushed into 2021.
But there is positive news to report.
Dan recently reopened the office to set up our live streaming facility as a permanent fixture at the office.
He is offering a new range of online film classes in the upcoming weeks. You can find out more of whats on offer in the virtual classroom.
Bus Stop Films Inclusive Filmmaking classes have also now moved online and will be presented from Sanguineti Media's office each Saturday morning.
The first class was embraced enthusiastically as Dan welcomed the majority of Term 1 students back for the online version of Term 2.
On the side, Dan has also opened up a Fiverr account and has begun creating small short videos for clients over in the US. This has been a great opportunity to embrace the online creation community.
Finally, Dan has been keeping creative by embracing the one social media site he would have never imagined embracing. Dan has been creating TikToks and joining the legions of over 30s on the app. If you're looking for a laugh with or at Dan, head over to https://www.tiktok.com/@dansanguineti!
