MONDAY 22nd MARCH
NEW CASTING CALL
PAID ROLE - TERENCE
WESTERN SHORT FILM “TWO GRAVES”
Two Graves is an neo-Western set in Australia, combining the Spaghetti Western style with an analogue-modern twist. The story is both an introspective on the morality of justice and a deconstruction of the Western genre.
Two Graves has been written by Carl Emmerson, a young filmmaker with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), under the guidance of AACTA-nominated screenwriter Jaime Brown (The King, The Mule, Brothers’ Nest) and is produced by Dan Sanguineti (Me & My Mates vs. the Zombie Apocalypse). Carl’s previous short film, Airlock, was awarded Best Screenplay at Focus on Ability 2018.
Within the story of Two Graves, Terence provides the role of an audience surrogate, breaking down the conventions and morality of the protagonist.
Your audition should include:
An introduction about yourself;
A performance of a scene showcasing the ability to switch between a few “moods”, such as outgoing, insightful and cold.
Personal recommendations include the cafe scene from Heat, one or two taxi interactions from Collateral, or Kevin Spacey in The Usual Suspects.
Original pieces/monologues also acceptable.
Try to avoid going for the classic cowboy vibe — this isn’t one of those Westerns.
Auditions are accepted via video and close on Wednesday 31st March at midday.
Label the file/title with your name and role you are interested in.
