Screen Canberra’s Foundation POD program is a 3-weekend short film development initiative that aims to nurture and support emerging filmmakers throughout the development of a short film. The program will provide concept development of short film projects under the guidance of local screen practitioner, Daniel Sanguineti. Open to all aspiring filmmakers, the program will look at how to generate concepts, write, direct, edit (including sound design) and develop a festival strategy for their project.

Foundation POD is about the process of producing a short film for the festival circuit.  The 3 weekends of intensive work will allow participants to hone their writing and producing skills while being part of a team and deepen their understanding of how to develop a marketable short film.

Screen Canberra has teamed up with Lights! Canberra! Action! and we have committed to funding up to 4 Short Films, the top performers in the Foundation POD program will be receiving funding to develop a short film for the Festival in 2020.
